Come Back to Me Review

Image
I am still in amazement of this book and the fantastic world that Jody Hedlund has created! This is definitely a “stay up late, can’t put it down” book.  Hedlund has taken a genre that is not done as often in Christian fiction and has done a fantastic job. From the opening chapter to the final, leave me longing for more chapter, I didn’t want to stop reading. I was thrilled when I read in the back that there will be a second book that touches on some of the semi-main characters! Can’t wait for the next book!!

On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor Review

Once again, Jaime Jo Wright has blown me away with her ability to write eerie Christian fiction! It’s comparable to a mature, inspirational Scooby Doo mystery. There’s always a feasible explanation, but the track to get you there sure can leave your heart racing!  In this book, we see Jaime Jo Wright masterfully weave a split time tale together to form an amazing, edge of your seat plot line.  This story is very well written, character development is great; and the plot moves along at an exhilarating pace. I received a copy of the book from the publisher. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Another wonderful book by Rachel Hauck! In this book, Rachel Hauck delivers another royal romance with lots of nostalgia from some of her previous novels and series woven throughout. The main theme throughout the book is forgiveness, redemption, and grace. A theme all of us can relate to if we do some soul searching. While not many of us are in the public eye as Gemma Stone is in the novel, so our past won’t have such a drastic impact, the truth is that all of us have chains that Jesus wants to break if we’ll just let Him. Rachel Hauck writes stories about people that we can relate to on a personal level. Sure, the chances of us being whisked away to be a princess in a foreign land are next to nothing, but the chances that we will have to make some of the same decisions that her characters make are highly likely. Definitely a keeper in my book! I received an e-copy of the book from the author. I was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own. About the Book ...

Amazing!! Hope Between the Pages Review

Another Pepper Basham book has hit the mark of being a fantastic book! Even though this was Pepper Basham’s first split time novel, you would never be able to tell it as she creates both worlds seamlessly.  Both storylines are amazing - with approximately 100 years between the story lines, the transitions are smooth. Like two different types of cookies, the plots coincide. Both have the same basic ingredients - dna, books, and romance while each engages in separate special ingredients to make both unique.  Grab this book if you love books! That quality alone will make you fall in love with the two main characters!

All That Really Matters Review

Wow!! It has been a really long time since I updated, and honestly I haven’t been reading as much as I love to because life has been on the fast paced side.  I finished this book a few weeks ago, and it was the one that sparked my reading interest into overdrive again! Nicole Deese does fabulously with every book she writes, but I think they just keep getting better and better! As we are taken into the world of Molly, and the pretty opposite world of Silas, we are able to see how the characters develop into the best version of themselves. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath in anticipation. Nicole Deese has done a superb job of drawing us into a world that does a great job of allowing us to see different angles of situations that are a reality to many people.

Miriam’s Song Review

Jill Eileen Smith has been a favorite author of mine for a long time. When I heard she was writing a book about Miriam I became excited (just as I am with every book I hear about her writing!!). After seeing the lovely cover, I felt even more drawn, and couldn’t wait to dive in.  Smith has worked wonders again in following this story through and writing about a difficult time. We get to meet characters that are delightful and realistic while we progress through the story. The story progression moves along well (it does cover many years, but Smith handles that well and seemlessly), as well as the character development being on par. I can’t wait to see what Smith writes about next!

A Dance in Donegal Review

Image
Not a lot of Christian Fiction is set in Ireland, and that is the first thing that drew me towards Jennifer Deibel’s novel, A Dance in Donegal. I love the lore of Ireland and the lovey green hues that surround the imagery of such a place. This book did not disappoint on any aspect! From the lovely cover to the lovely story, characters, and world that Deibel built, I fell in love with this book. The plot line moves along at a great pace and the characters develop in a timely and wholesome manner. I will be sure to look out for Deibel’s next novel! I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
