The Haunting at Bonadventure Circus Review

Image
Jaime  Jo Weight has blown me away again with her amazing way of weaving together two timelines to create a mystery! I had my suspect suspicions all along and I was mostly wrong. Mrs Wright has a wonderful build up of her characters and the plot flows flawlessly. I already loved the circus theme, but this book has me wanting to go on a field trip to see the museums and memorabilia of the circus and other things of that era. I can’t wait for her next book to come out! I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions are my own.

To Love a Prince Review and Giveaway!

I am a huge fan of Rachel Hauck’s, although I have not read all of her books (they are in my TBR pile though!!). In To Love a Prince, Rachel Hauck takes a unique spin on the royal romance and draws the reader in from the beginning.  I thoroughly enjoyed how Hauck made a unique storyline and country while still nodding to some of her other books! Revisiting some of the characters for even a few pages was enchanting! (I do have The Fifth Avenue Story Society on my shelf and need to read it since that was one that was nodded at!).  Hauck tackles hard to speak about circumstances in this book and handles them with raw grace and dignity. I love the message of Emmanuel and Adelaide and being able to visit with their characters again.  This was a wonderful book from all angles and I can’t wait to read the next in the story (which Rachel had a sneak peek of in her latest newsletter!!!). A Life Once Dreamed Review

Image
In A Life Once Dreamed, Rachel Fordham creates a book that is a perfect blend of historical romance. The characters develop at a great rate and the plot moves along and unfolds with wonderful timing.  The character are endearing and lovable while also being realistic. The past always comes back to catch us, but the end results aren’t usually the worst we fear.  This was my first book by Fordham, and after this book I am going to have to go back and get Fordham’s previous two releases (The Hope of Azure Springs and Yours Truly, Thomas)!  I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Love and a Little White Lie Review

Image
This is the first book I have read by Tammy L Gray, and I was blown away by her creativity!  Gray develops her characters beautifully and gives them personalities and thoughts that we can relate to - almost everyone can probably identify with at least one character. The relationship dynamics were beautiful. I was sad about the way one character ended, but it is contemporary fiction and the way ended is very believable.  The plot moves along at a brilliant pace and kept my attention throughout the entire book.  One of my favorite things about the book is in the acknowledgment section. Gray did not have to be so open and raw about how she was feeling with her books, but her honesty is one of the things that make her a wonderful writer!  I plan to read many more books by Tammy L Gray! I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Set the Stars Alight Review

Amanda Dykes has blown me away with another phenomenal split time Christian fiction book!  Dykes has done a wonderful job of taking a story from the past and weaving it in with a modern story and seamlessly tying them together. The characters were realistic and made me kinda sad that they were not real. The timing of the way Dykes made the timeline play out was perfection - just enough tease to keep you going, highly anticipating the next chapter.  I loved the nod to her previous book, Whose Waves These Are. While the books are not related, it is nice to have authors link their books together.  I look forward to Amanda Dykes’ future books!  I received a complimentary ebook, but was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
