A Life Once Dreamed Review


 In A Life Once Dreamed, Rachel Fordham creates a book that is a perfect blend of historical romance. The characters develop at a great rate and the plot moves along and unfolds with wonderful timing. 

The character are endearing and lovable while also being realistic. The past always comes back to catch us, but the end results aren’t usually the worst we fear. 

This was my first book by Fordham, and after this book I am going to have to go back and get Fordham’s previous two releases (The Hope of Azure Springs and Yours Truly, Thomas)!

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! Forget and Now Review and Giveaway

This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! Childhood Review and Giveaway!

In Childhood, we are able to see into the “beginning of the story” so to speak, and see where the main  characters in Greg Schaffer’s upcoming full length novel Fatherhood are coming from. I like the fact that we see into the backgrounds - a lot of times when we don’t know the background of someone, we are quick to judge rather than feel compassion.
