A Castaway in Cornwall Review




Julie Klassen never ceases to amaze me with her writing! In A Castaway of Cornwall, she makes the reader feel right at home among the seaside of Cornwall as they become engrossed in her story.
Character development is great, as well as the flow of the plot. 
If you like historical fiction from this part of the world, you will love this book!

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense!
