The Red Ribbon Review


 I was blown away again by Pepper Basham’s writing! I am turning into a huge fan of this True Colors series and have loved each book I have read. They are doing a great job of choosing authors to line up with the stories of the crimes. 

In The Red Ribbon, Basham does a fantastic job of dropping hints throughout the plot, but never entirely giving away the story until the last minute. Her character development is superb and by the end of the book, you feel like you have new friends. 

I love the historical notes at the end as well! It’s always fascinating to see how things really played out compared to the fictional account!

Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! Childhood Review and Giveaway!

In Childhood, we are able to see into the “beginning of the story” so to speak, and see where the main  characters in Greg Schaffer’s upcoming full length novel Fatherhood are coming from. I like the fact that we see into the backgrounds - a lot of times when we don’t know the background of someone, we are quick to judge rather than feel compassion.
