Stitches in Time

Wow, wow, wow! I absolutely loved the theme woven throughout this book!! Suzanne Woods Fisher has taken us back to Stoney Ridge and woven another tale that resounds with a storyline that left me feeling as if I’ve been in church!

I love the fact that we get to see Luke and Izzy’s relationship further, while also getting introduced to new characters. Mollie is a new, main character, and while I had a hard time at first with her voice, a few chapters in, I was hooked. I think it’s just because I’m not that peppy! She has become a favorite throughout this book, and I am excited to read future books after this cliffhanger!

The Good Shepherd theme is outstanding. I had a few times I would stop and tell my husband, “here is a good sermon topic!”, “did you know THIS about sheep???!” I am fascinated with how God called us His sheep and He is the Good Shepherd, and I feel like this book did a good job at paralleling that symbolism in Scripture with real life situations.

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! Forget and Now Review and Giveaway

This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! The characters are well developed and the story line flows wonderfully. Bridge of Gold Review

  This is another fantastic book by Kimberley Woodhouse! (Honestly, it’s only my second one by her - The Mayflower Bride was my first - but, it’s great nonetheless!!). I loved the way the storylines flowed - each was distinct yet interconnected. I love when historical fiction gets me interested in a period of history, and Mrs Woodhouse has done that with the legend, lore, and history of The Golden Gate Bridge. Mrs Woodhouse did a thorough job of researching the area during the different time periods. The dual timelines are seamless and flow well. The character development is flawless, and the plot line keeps a great, captivating pace. I do have one complaint - I did not get much sleep while reading this book!!! :) it kept me up at night with the “just one more chapter” syndrome. I highly recommend this book, and I am off to find other books by Kimberley Woodhouse!
