July TBR

I’m going to be ambitious this month! July has 31 days, so why not?
The bottom row is all new to me authors - Kimberly Woodhouse with The Mayflower Bride (The Daughters of the Mayflower Series), Jody Hedlund with With You Always (Orphan Train Series), Agatha Christie’s A Caribbean Mystery (::gasp:: I’ve never actually read one by her!!), and Sarah Sundin’s The Sea Before Us (Sunrise at Normandy Series).
The middle row is a mixture: The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron (this will be my second by here), A Most Noble Heir by Susan Anne Mason, The Hawaiian Quily by Wanda E Brunstetter (I got the second book of the series from a sale, so had to check out the first!), and Love Quest, the second book by Noah Bolinder.
The top row is my trying to finish series row 🥰 Princess Ever After and How to Carch a Prince from Rachel Hauk’s the Royal Wedding Series, The Lightkeeper’s Bride and The Lightkeeper’s Daughter from Colleen Coble’s Mercy Falls Series, and The Golden Braid from Melanie Dickerson’s Hagenheim Series.
This looks to be an amazing month of books and I can’t wait to dig in!

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! Havig crafts great stories period.  While this is not a storyline I would have come up with, at the end, Havig will leave you believing that it is a wonderful real world. Forget and Now Review and Giveaway

This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! The characters are well developed and the story line flows wonderfully. Childhood Review and Giveaway!

In Childhood, we are able to see into the “beginning of the story” so to speak, and see where the main  characters in Greg Schaffer’s upcoming full length novel Fatherhood are coming from. I like the fact that we see into the backgrounds - a lot of times when we don’t know the background of someone, we are quick to judge rather than feel compassion. I’m looking forward to reading Farherhood when it comes out!
