Can’t Make This Stuff Up Review

I follow Susannah on social media, so I was thrilled to know she had put out a non fiction book (I also discovered she has fiction and I need to read those now also 😉). I listened to the audiobook on this one and I love that she is the narrator - especially since it deals with real life, raw emotions. This book took my heart through the wringer in a good way. I especially loved the section dealing with our children. I’m excited to see if she will release another.

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! Havig crafts great stories period.  While this is not a storyline I would have come up with, at the end, Havig will leave you believing that it is a wonderful real world. Forget and Now Review and Giveaway

This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! Childhood Review and Giveaway!

In Childhood, we are able to see into the “beginning of the story” so to speak, and see where the main  characters in Greg Schaffer’s upcoming full length novel Fatherhood are coming from. I like the fact that we see into the backgrounds - a lot of times when we don’t know the background of someone, we are quick to judge rather than feel compassion.
