My Promise Book Review

Wow! This is one book that really had (still has??) my brain wheels turning! While the soundtrack for the book was the reason I decided to try it out because, hey, I love music. However, I love so much more about it this book! The author has researched in depth an intiricate network of information to pour into this book. I am floored and still keep thinking about hidden pieces and the mysterious way it left off a week after finishing it. I can’t wait until the sequel comes out this year!!
I was given a complimentary copy of this books with no strings attached. The author did not require a review and all opinions expressed are my own, honest opinion.

  When thinking of a Cinderella retelling, my mind certainly never went to the world that Chautona Havig has created. Havig has taken something “ordinary” and “mundane” and used her creative genius to form a world brimming with new possibilities. At the start of the book, Havig begins setting the stage with the main characters and we learn who is who. As the plot moves along, Havig does an excellent job of building the world and storyline. The plot moves along at a great pace and the character building is on par. But, this is what I have come to expect from a Havig book! Havig crafts great stories period.  While this is not a storyline I would have come up with, at the end, Havig will leave you believing that it is a wonderful real world. Forget and Now Review and Giveaway

This is the first story I have read by Alana Terry and I was blown away! Alana Terry was able to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only was I captivated, I also did not guess what had happened until the last bit. It was a well drawn out and perfectly time suspense! Childhood Review and Giveaway!

In Childhood, we are able to see into the “beginning of the story” so to speak, and see where the main  characters in Greg Schaffer’s upcoming full length novel Fatherhood are coming from. I like the fact that we see into the backgrounds - a lot of times when we don’t know the background of someone, we are quick to judge rather than feel compassion.
